Say you could go back in time and have a chat with your former self, wouldn’t that be great? You could warn yourself about future mistakes like not flirting with that crazy girl who stole your underwear, or about that time you tried to do a wheelie on your bike, fell off and broke both your arms, or about that elective you failed in your first year of college. If only you had a little guidance, things would be much easier right?
Unfortunately time travel isn’t exactly legal, neither does it exist for that matter, so what do we do?
It was “back to school” time and we at It’s Pixel Perfect, hosted a twitter chat entitled, #DearFreshaz – University myths, facts and everything in between, to lend a bit of advice to first year students, through a panel of student leaders. The chat touched on topics like: problems students may face, preferred eating spots on campus, fashion tips, most shocking experiences, where to find the hottest girls and much more.
The panelists were asked what was the biggest challenge new students will face.
They all agreed that covering tuition would be a major challenge for incoming students. Other challenges included finding jobs after school.
What about grades?
A student’s success or failure depends on his or her GPA. It is always a constant struggle for some to maintain a decent GPA.
If you can keep your GPA from sliding then you’re golden. So which courses can freshers take which are considered an easy pass?
And the courses you should stay away from or work extra hard in
College isn’t only about academics right?
We wanted freshers to know where to find the hottest girls/guys on the UWI and UTech campuses.
Now that you know where to find the hot girls/guys, its time to consider which parties you want to check out on campus.
Now for some crucial advice. These are the things we wished someone had told us before we embarked on that life altering journey that is university.
You can’t depend on your future self for guidance but that doesn’t mean you’re alone. The most crucial advice, besides not leaving your girl in front of chancellor hall carelessly according to @BloodlineFranco, is don’t be afraid to ask questions or for help.
